The sensor in your intercooler is the map sensor that detects boost pressure. It's a vital sensor for the system.

Why is it leaking, do you think?

Surely if its leaking it will be down to the seal on the sensor being worn / damaged?

I dare say a bead of silicone will sort it ...

the car was cat d damaged 2 front right intercooler side/ the sensor seems to be 2 small were it goes in and there is were its leaking from? it does screw in like it shud.may be intercooler and sensor are not compatible coz wen u put sensor in theres lots of movement as if the hole in intercooler is 2 big if that makes any sense lol. tryed tiger bond sealent but only lasts 2 days then blows straigyt through.
keep your expertise advice coming so i can cure my big problem:cry:

Yeah, one's 16mm the other's 12mm. I believe they read the same though.

I thinking Forge sell a... what would you call it...adaptor?

Sounds like someone's done a really good job of repairing the car
