leaky injector seats??

i have oily residue around my injectors, without stripping and looking at what it could be, im assuming that it maybe the injector seats or seals?

anyone else had this problem or know exactly what it may be??

the o-rings aint cheap mate

VAG o-rings are expensive, just find out the size and get them from RS or somewhere like Barnwell.

Are you sure this isn't just a bit of spilt oil though? try cleaning round the seat with a Qtip or similar and see if the residue comes back.......

I had to price up injector seats and seals the other day for an S3, he had a boost leak coming back throughone of the seals. They worked out about £1ish for the seals each and plastic seats were just over £2 each or so.

cheers guys! looks like ill have to check for myself this weekend to make sure! but if the seals are a quid each and seats £2 each then might aswell just replace them anyway while its stripped down.

i payed £4 a seal....8 of them...plus the blue plastic things...i got mugged
