Hi all,

First post and I'm excited to be a member of the group!

I've recently submitted an order through Leasing Options, apparently the car is stuck in the UK Port waiting for delivery to the dealership.

Anyone else in the same boat / have knowledge on how long this usually takes? The leasing company say they have 10000 cars stuck their currently!

Sold my GLE to We buy any car yesterday so I'm doubly excited to get behind the wheel :)

thanks

Hi, I'm kind of in the same boat, I ordered a lease last week and have been given a date of 23/4 for the car to arrive at the dealers ready for PDI ect. The finance documents came through with a registration date of 30/4, so when I'll get it who knows?

Ah cool, thanks for the info. I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago so I assume they do them in stages. Just rang the leasing company who said that 2/3 cars have a block on them for some reason, some are being let through the network whereas others are being held for whatever reason.

I'll be booking a day off when it's ready I can tell you that, hopefully in the next couple of weeks!

There has been an issue with Certain Cupra Ateca’s being held back due to emissions data. They may be the vehicles the Leasing company is talking about.

Haven’t heard any issues with any Formentor’s being held back and as already said it’s usually about 2 weeks from dock to delivery to you.

Mine took a week and a half to get delivered to my dealer after arriving at the port of Grimsby.

Update, it's at the dealership but apparently there's a block by Brand for a lane / side assist issues? Don't have any further info but I notice on many of the reviews these systems are a pain in the backside and sometimes almost dangerous so perhaps they've had a flurry of complaints?

Maybe they have to run software update to eliminate issues with radar. It was mentioned when first cars were out in November. Depends how old is the stock.

I haven't got a clue, A car at a dealership now wouldn't be from 6 months ago surely?

Ordered my v2 Formentor 23rd March. Was given delivery estimate of 2-3 weeks (which would have been now).

Dealer has said “The car is in transit from the factory to the Port” for the last 2 weeks, which I find hard to believe!

Had this reply from a facebook group I'm in

The affected vehicles with the steering regulation initially had a registration block against them - dealers would’ve been made aware and their respective customers too. New vehicles coming into the country won’t be affected PLUS this will not affect lead time of factory order models.

Update: So I'm in the process of cancelling the original one, and hopefully going through Lookers for one they're getting this week without the derogation issues!

Only slight negative is it's in white, which isn't my first choice but a lot of the photos I've seen of them seem to look quite nice with the black wheels, black accents.

Does anyone here have one in white?

Advantage of white will be the fact, that it was produced in 2021 and has new version of software. You don't know how old are the stock cars offered by Leasing Options.

Dealer should be able to check VIN before you order, broker won't.

Great shout.

I test drove a black one '70 plate' on Saturday and even after 15 minutes I noticed a few issues with the software (air con not working, media stalling')

Build date will be estimate based of other people's VINs and production dates. I have 14xxx and car was produced at the end of January. Low number VINs mean early production and stock cars.
