I got a pair of bright white LED festoon bulbs for the rear number plate, but they dont seem to last. Ive been through 2 sets in 2 months. Got them off ebay. Anyone else had any problems or recommend a brand that will last ?

Yes, they won't last beacuse I think the rear number plates run off 14.4 volts and it burns out the regular festoons.

However I've fitted this type and they have lasted at least 6-8 months with no issues so far.
They are the same type i've fitted in glove box and boot also.

ok thanks for the info and links guys. Voltage thing explains why there dying then. Ive used the same bulbs from the same ebay seller for the complete interior aswell and there all fine but then i guess there not on for very long unlike the numberplate lights.

then id have to go and get the matching LED jetwashers aswell

i went for the 18led festoons , megga bright
althought them 501's i went for aint that bright the OEM ones are brighter
