As an alternative to fitting resistors, if you can find someone with VCP you can get them to completely disable the cold and warm bulb diagnosis on your car by changing some of the memory values in the BCM. Then you won't have any further issues because the bulb check functionality will have been completely switched off in the BCM memory.

Wouldn't that be harder work?

Admittedly if you don't have a VCP cable and software then it will mean some work trying to find someone who does, plus they would need to know exactly what needs to be done to switch off the cold and warm diagnosis for each of the bulb circuits. However, once this has been done you then no longer have to worry about what type or make of LEDs you use because none of them (even non error-free Can Bus ones) will cause the bulb fault warning light to illuminate.

I just gave up and went back to normal bulbs. Got sick of the sidelight error. Was always the left as well.
After 6 months of use though the bulbs looked really wacked with a number of elements failing.
These had 9 LEDs fitted and a canbus resistor.
Anyone had any luck with the Crees??

Ive been having the same issue for the last couple of years, I think they get progressively worse too, my LED's are now flickering quite badly, and I've noticed that parts of the LED's are not illuminating... I've done the side lights, and the day light saver (if thats what its called)

So, i'm looking to buy some more, the side lights are 501, what are the other lights ? i can't remember for the life of me...

Thanks
Jordan

PS I emailed PartsULike and they don't stock the day light bulbs, only the side lights...

I've used these before and they are the whitest sidelight bulbs I have found without going down the route of LED. I was very impressed with them.

I can't post a link but if you google MTEC 501. I have also used HID's direct in the past and been very impressed.
