Yeah, I can't see them making any difference, as when your behind the car, the lens gives the effect of a ring of small lights. Replacing the bulbs with led's will probably alter that effect.

I would like to know if anyone has replaced the indicator bulbs (front and repeater) with those silver coated ones though.

I agree it probably won't make much difference to the apperance, it was purley the LED speed of response and brightness. I actually thought the Leon had LED tail lights when I bought it!

I have fitted Osram Diadem indicator bulbs to the front; they give a nice blue tint behind the diffuser and look like any other indicator when they are working.

They were easy to fit as they are held in a plastic holder; just hold the tab on the back, twist and pull out, no wires attached.

I have replaced my headlights and sidelights with philips vision plus and blue vision respectively. The difference is awesome, short of buying HIDs, and £35 (for main and high-beam) vs. £800 or whatever for factory HIDs seals the decision.
They were really easy to change, apart from the passenger side sidelight, just look in the manual to find out how. Def recommend!

I have the Philips blue vision bulbs in my mini, when i fitted them I left one standard and one with the new bulbs to observe the difference, there is quite an obvious difference the philips being brighter and less yellow and more blue white.

By the way i did put the other philips in before i drove off....
