Hi Dan , I,m awaiting with interest as to the reply you get for taking out the side light bulbs on your Boca as I am thinking of replacing mine with Led,s , once I know what works and doesn,t bring up any warning lamps on the dash !!!.what are you thinking of doing to your side lights.

Hi Mardon, I,ve been looking at the Led,s you are thinking of ordering and they seem to be a good choice, please let us know how you get on with them as I,m contemplating fitting these Led,s to my Boca as well.

bocawata, i just want some nice white leds, instead of the standard bulb. i think it will look mean as hell, i have spoken to another guy from on here, he said he has an fr, same lights and he just took the cap off the back of the light and with a little difficulty managed to pukll it out with his fingers, i tried yesterday but i think my hands are a little large.

Not sorted the side lights yet. They are so small and pointless on the xenon model I either have the DLS's on or the full Xenons.

When the new LED's come I'll have a look at taking the side lights out.

Yup bought the reg I posted about last week. Decided on gloss black, raised gel letters (legal font) with the black Euro logo. Will get pics up at the end of the month when the coilovers are fitted.

Also having a rolling road done at the same time so I can see what these TSI’s are putting out standard.

Just nipped to HID'S Direct in Manchester. I didn't put the LED's in a bought off them as the 3 single LED's didn't look as good as the cheap ebay jobbies. I looked at resistors but I can't see how they will work. As the socket for the LED is a screw in type the wires for the resistor will get in the way. Not sure how i'm going to work it.

I'll probably wait for the ones listed above to come back in stock and give them a whirle. Looks like there is no solution as yet.

Ibiza SC LED Sidelights

I replaced my standard sidelight bulbs with 1.5 watt 360 LED sidelight bulbs check out the difference below.

The standard bulbs look way more yellow than in the pictures. Unfortunately the new bulbs turn on the bulb out light in the dash but I can live with that.

hey dan, er i just pulled on the cables they aren't in tight and they just popped out. they also seem to have a little tab on them which helps to put them back in again. granted there is limited space behind the lights. not looking forward to replacing my dipped beams though. on the drivers side there is some kind of reservoir thing about an inch behind the lights!!
