Legal Headlight Bulbs??

They are illegal for road use in the UK. The law states that the front headlights have to be a bright white colour and must not have a tint. You will get pulled over for using these and you will fail M.O.T. Also i am not sure about the Xenon headlights you might get pulled over because they are too bright and can dazzle oncomming drivers.

Even tho it states they are road legal, that applies for a different country other than UK. You are best using these at car shows when you want to show off or something like that.

Hope this helps.

Nope headlights cant have a tint it will fail MOT and you will get pulled over for it, it has to be white. You can have blue sidelights if you want tho. I dont know the fitment without looking you can remove one of the bulbs and go to local car shop and try and match it.

Its a very grey area on headlight colour, yes, an MOT station can (and some will) fail a headlight for being too "blue" (and side lights too, so be careful on what LED sidelight bulbs you choose)

However, normal Xenon replacement bulbs are legal (such a Osram Nigh Breakers and Philips Blue Vision), as these are white, rather than blue.

HIDs are the big issue. If you get the wrong temperature, they will be too blue, and will fail. Also the police can take exeption and pull you over.
Also with HID's, your car should have Automatic Self Levellers, and Washers on the Headlights (I think)

But saying this, I don't know of anyone who have been done by the police. Moral is, if you fit HIDs, get really white ones rather than the bluer ones, and make sure your lights a correctly aligned, they police probably won't hassle you.

The blue-est HIDs you can get away with legally is 6000k's IIRC. I have 8000k's in mine and havent been stopped for them.

You will still have to take them out for the M.O.T. as it will fail, not too hard though.

The police will basicly pull you if they think they are too blue, and if they wanted they would fine you.

I dont really think there is an actual measurement for the usual bulbs. All I know (for HID's) is 6000k's and below are legal.
