Leon 1.8 TSI Stock BHP

Hi all

After a fair bit of reading on these forums (I have a 2014 Leon 1.8) I have seen a few people mention that their 1.8's have been a higher BHP when tested before their Stage 1 ECU upgrades.

Just wondering if you guys can share what figures you were getting..? I would be interested in knowing if 180 is just a minimum because I have seen someone with 195

I've heard similar about the 1.8TSI in the Ibiza Cupra, I imagine it's the same engine with a slightly different map on it and as standard they should put out 189 but people have reported similar to 195-200

Would say with certainty between 5-15 bhp depending on all variables being in good favour and a decent fuel like shell Vpower nitro +

I've had the car as a second owner and straightaway using Momentum or VPower.

It's nice to know we get a few extra BHP's - keep them coming

And yeah Seat seem to under cut there figures a lot for some reason. The 280 is defiantly running The Same figures as my stock 290 and with 100% certainty the same as the 300

From what I have learned on this forum I gather that VAG designate the minimum guaranteed output from their engines. So although an individual stock 2.0 tsi 280 MIGHT produce AS MUCH AS 300 ps, ALL stock 300's will produce AT LEAST 300 ps. Is this correct?

Thanks all - it's good to know i might have a little more than expected under the hood!

I'm not going to Stage 1 it yet - keeping it as is for a while as I'm happy.

I messed a little with my last car (DS3 1.6 thp) and everytime something went wrong with it because I fiddled!!!

I might be tempted with a Bluefin device because it can be reversed by myself - dont know yet...
