Just bought my first SEAT last Friday. Its a 2012 CR FR 2.0tdi, 34500 miles on the clock. Drove it for half an hour and the coil light started flashing,, followed by the emission light and limp mode, blasted it for 90 miles and it seems to have cleaned the filter. Anyhoo, first time out in the dark tonight and the main headlights are white as a ghost but the side lights are custard yellow (boo). What's the crack? Are the mains xenon? Is it easy to change the sides?

My vote would be for xenons. But there are a few give aways. When you turn the ignition on do the lights move front to the back and a side to side :rocker:. If they do, xenons cause they have to self level. Also giveaway is do you have headlight washers (little square panels beneath the lights). Cause they have to have washers also. The sidelight bulb holders just pull out. The first time, I popped it out by accident as my little finger got caught on the wire.

Bit forward, I'm in my pjs

We're all friends here. We won't stare.

Yes I noticed this, wondered what it was.

It's a self test / adjustment. If they go side to side. That's AFS cornering. When you turn corners at speed, the lights move left and right to help you see more easily. Xenons have to self level (the up down bit) because if you have loads of fat people sit in the back, you'd blind oncoming drivers.

Just the one (in the driver's seat). So can I just buy xenon sidelights?, or maybe led?. What size?. I'm clueless here

No comment LOL. Sidelights you have 2 choices. Get those Halogen ones that are supposed to be bright white. Or go LED. LED look better, but Leons can be quite fussy and may throw the error light on as LEDs don't draw as much power as halogens and it thinks the bulb has blown. You want 501 W5W. I bought these, sometimes they throw the error light on for the first 5 seconds or so (when it's raining usually). But then it goes out again.

You'll probably be wanting DRLs as well (if you have them / when you find them LOL):

Very nice. Great pics.
Im on the lookout for a new head unit, can't be stuck with FM radio. The android units look canny RNS 510 or to go with an oem 312.(non android)

Both of mine had the RNS315s already fitted. They work well, satnav with postcode lookup, integrated with aircon controls, bluetooth, etc. But now I really want Android Car Play. But already spent a fortune on the car this year, so likely sticking with the 315. But if I had the choice, I'd fit a pioneer with Car play.
