Leon Coil Packs

IV GOT AN 03 SEAT LEON AND MY COIL PACKS KEEP BRAKING DOWN. THERE THE ONLY PART ON THE CAR THAT HAS A 3 YEAR WARRANTY BUT Y DO THEY KEEP GOING. iTS JUST TO MUCH ASAL KEEP TAKING IT DOWN TO SEAT IF I COULD NSOLVE THE PROBLEM IT WOULD BE A GREAT HELP THANKS.

Two things wrong

- you've got caps lock on all the time.

-Coilpacks are covered by a 5 year warranty.

Do you mean that the replacement coilpacks are failing? First time I've heard of that.

I got a cheap ass one from GSF as oppose to a genuine OE one and that failed in 3 months

make sure they are being replaced with genuine ones

Dont say that mate, i just got 2 from Euro Car Parts but they were the good ones, cant even remember the name now!

yeah

there are 2 types available

there will be cheap ones and slightly more expensive ones.

should be 12 months warranty though so not really an issue.

when i say genuine i mean "decent"

thanks for your help russ seat have a 5 year warranty on them so i dont have to bye them its just the hasal of going down there and i wanted to no what corsed them to go so qwick. thanks for your help

I've had it with my 1.6 Leon! In the 4 years that we've owned it, we've had coil pack failures on 5 occasions. This is only made worse by the fact that all four packs were replaced on each occasion with supposedly modified ones. The first three occasions, this was under warranty, but I phoned my local dealer yesterday, and they're not interested now that the car is out of warranty... Time for a TDi maybe?!
