i have just bought a 2002 leon cupra, im used to my fast cars but it seems overly quick for 180bhp, is there any way of finding out if the car has had any mods i.e. re-map ect...

ask previus owner.

get a boost gauge.
check via vag com..

Boost guage would be best bet....dont even need to fit it properly just T in and pop it through window to do a rough check.

My standard 2002 boosts 9psi and 10.5 in 6th

I got a standard 2002 LC .... when i first got it i thought it was possibly mapped....in a straight line it was basically just as quick as my brothers Civic type R (197bhp) ....... i just think its due to the fact that they have a good torque curve and are geared well to suit.
