Just a quick observation and/or query: Is it the same people who complained about the new Cupra looking bland and then going on to say black is the colour to go for? What kind of logic is that? The thing is, that with a black car basically all Cupra specific detailing (air intakes, black FR-similar trim, deviating rear-view mirror colouring, etc) are lost to the eye and the car will look just like any 105 BHP diesel pimped with 19 inch rims.

So I personally would forget about black already for that reason.

:)

I totally agree in my opinion needs to be a light colour or red, yellow would be stunning, of the current choices I would go with red or dynamic grey.

Edit actually they Monsoon grey looks good too in Scott's pictures

thinking about 280 cupra myself as my old mk 1 approaches 140k and still going strong

choice of colours is not great though to me . black and white are both hard to live with.

(about 1 mile down the rainy motorway your car always looks like s**t)

leaves solid red. as only colour option . I think this car would look great in a pearlescent

deep red similar to a Peugeot 306 I had before I got the seat bug !

just my thoughts.

Has anyone got one in Ice Silver? I've seen the other colours but never seen one in Ice Silver?

Aside from Emocion Red, which I've ordered, my next favourite colour is Monsoon Grey. It's light enough to give a decent contrast with the black trim, but dark enough to give a real depth of gloss after a polish.

Black is a nice colour for a car, bit high maintenance as people have said, but if you keep it clean the gloss is just awesome. White, well, round here people call it 'finance white' as every Audi/BMW/VW seems to come in white these days...

Hi, I've got one in Ice Silver

I think it may be one of the rarer colours, it wasn't my first choice but jumped at this one to avoid waiting another 3-4 months for the Monsoon Grey that I ordered. I like the fact that all the black bits mentioned are contrasted and it hides the dirt pretty well but really only looks special when it's had a good clean IMHO.

Just checked and that link doesn't appear to be working, sorry about that, not sure why - maybe they expire? Anyway - if you are interested in seeing the pics I originally posted go to page 30 of the 'Who's ordered a Cupra' thread as the URL seems to still work there

Had Phantom black on last two cars after years of red, and now no stone chips, as the metallic paint is more durable. Not washed mine for 3 weeks and still looks ok, won't go back to red, the stone chips still show up even with the original colour touch up, as the light colours are worse for this.:D

Ice Silver rules. Mine is "only" a SC 180 FR, but for me this colour is best at bringing out the angles and lines and black contrasting of the entire design. After 9 months, I still enjoy the specialness of the whole thing walking to or from it. Dark colours simply don't do this car justice, red is special only the first 50 yards from the carwash and sort of hides away the rear lights, white (even metallic) just looks cheapcheapcheapcheap, Monsoon Grey would long-term not hold up emotionally for me, and that blue....well, it's just too weird with the green mix-up (that more straight blue which you can order for Ibiza would have been much nicer).

I really like Alor Blue but unfortunately not available on the Cupra. It would be nice to have a blue option on the Cupra. I was torn between Emocion Red and Dynamic Grey, in the end went for the dynamic as it has a hint of blue in some lights. Colour is a personal choice so not everyone will agree! :) But the Cupra looks great in any of the colours available...

I went for white - no choice as it was all SEAT UK had left from stock for a quicker delivery.

I've never had a white car before and was initially very sceptical, but now looking forward to it.

My father-in-law has a white F-Type R with gloss black alloys and the black pack and it looks immense so hopefully the SEAT will follow suit (and blow him into the weeds!!!).

Should be delivered by the end of Nov.
