Leon Cupra r 210

Hi all

My cupra r sometimes idles hesitantly, dip below 1000rpm then up to 1500rpm then went you accelerate there is a huge lag in power to almost like a kangaroo hop. 15secs later the car runs fine and wont do it for ages.

Any body have any ideas on what could be causing this?
