There has been lots of talk here & there on various boost issues but I'm curious to what some of you fellow LCR owners think?

I've owned the car for 3 years now & still loving it, when I bought it the guy told me it had been stage 1 re-mapped but had no paperwork to prove plus he didn't know who had carried out the re-map.

Anyhow, by the feel of the throttle & various readings from the Torque App it is quite obvious that it is NOT standard.

Due to a couple of issues lately, which might not even be related, I decided to install a boost gauge into the drivers vent so I could see what boost I was getting & when.

It seems to peak & hold between 25 & 26psi pretty much all the way through the rev range...

Is this too high? Dangerous? and if so, how can I limit the boost myself easily?

Many thanks in advance people.

I wouldnt say 26psi was too high for a remapped Cupra R, a standard map boosts about 14psi, unfortunately if you manually try to decrease or increase boost it will send your car into limp mode as the ecu will detect the changes in requested boost against actual boost and cut power because it thinks something is wrong, the only way around it is to remap it again at a reputable tuner and they will leave it safe. But im pretty sure 26psi is fine so long as your turbo is good. If im wrong someone will come along and tell you what's what!

doubt its 26psi - dont trust torque app for boost
measure it with an actual gauge
