i decided they looked a bit chav so gave them a ghosting of black to add to the stealth look, and then fitted them to the btcc grilles

Hi Jake...how did you apply the ghosting to the DRLs? Was it just some straight forward black spray paint out of a tin or something else?

Cheers

It was aerosol sprayed into a cup then thinned. Sprayed through my gun.

looks sharp bud.

how much of a bugger was it to disassemble the front grille and remove the badge? i'm getting a new grille but want to recycle the seat badge from the old one and give it a carbon look. i'm a bit of a spanner when it comes to......spanners and stuff.

Dont fold to much wrap over the back of the seat badge as its a pain to push the badge back as you have to get the wrap to stretch into the badge slot that the plastic that stays on the main grill sits in...

Give the car a good clean inside and out today, winter months really do take there toll on cars,

Once the air is fitted I'm planning on hitting the car hard.

The few chips it does have, keep getting blobbed in and built up with 2k paint, once they are proud they will be denibbed and then polished to become invisible,

This time as part of the polishing procees I'm using a new product,

It was introduced to us via 3m while we were polishing this

The product is this,

3m 6000 trizact, there a polishing abrasive impregnated disc, they have the 3000 too we have used that for a long time, then the rep brought these in...the difference is immense. They cut so fine it makes polishing a breeze they also take out 95% of all marks.

So the plan is once the cars been chemically stripped, a good clay followed by tar and glue under all the arches and sill, ill mask the car then hit it with a few new discs to really get the best possible finish.
