I AM IN FRONT OF YOU
Just been looking on eBay and auto trader also piston heads it seams that the mk1 leon cupra 2000_2002 are going for less the £4000 grand:(
Why? is this i payed nearly £6000 grand for mine about 18 months ago.
Don't think i am going to get much for mine now

You had me a bit worried then....:(

I've had mine 1 year 2002 20vt, FSH, 35k currently on the clock, paid £8,500 for it.

But i've just this very second found one on pistion heads a year older than mine with 51k at £5,500 and a 2002 with 39k for £8,500..

I've breathed a sign of releif now....

Tbh, i don't think you should take the prices on ebay very seriously, auto trader is the better option to get a true idea of value...

The ones on PH do seem to pretty cheap tho'..... :(

Scaning through auto trader the prices of 2000+ preface lift 20vt's are all over the place still.

I found this was the case last year when i was looking for one, and it hasn't changed in the last 12 months..... weird

Theres a 2002 with 68k at almost £6,500, and a 2002 47k at almost £7 thou...

christ what must mine be worth with only 35k on it... ;)

I`ve got an `02 pre facelift cupra , paid 9k 2.5 years ago with 29k on the clock . At the time that was a reasonable price . It`s got 54k now but if I sold it what could I get with similar performance for the money ...NOT A LOT!! . I`d probably be looking at 5.5k if I sold it now . I`m going to keep it for a couple more years .

Actually 5.5k would buy a heck of a lot of 90's Jap Turbo, but the Cupra has the best balance of everything, VAG build quality and performance, as we all know :D

My 02 pre-facelift with 54k on the clock was on the market for £6k, I paid £5,800.

The Cupra ticks all the boxes for me as it has a decent boot , baby seat fits with no probs & plenty of power when u want it . I`m not a massive fan of the jap imports as i think the majority look really tacky IMO . Although they have their faults , coil packs ,door seals etc I`d upgrade to a CupraR with no hesitation .

i am after a evo or subaru at the mo.:cartman: but i need about £9000 grand i have £4000 saved.:D And i was hope to get about £4500 for mine:confused: but looking at prices i would be lucky to get £3500.

An ex workmate sold a golf vr6 & bought an impreza turbo . He loved it but front tyres lasted 4.5k and mpg was really low . What about service intervals , are they 6k on the evo ? . I think buying one is the easy part , maintaining one is something else .
