Meeeep Meeeeep !!!!!
I've managed to get a pair of facelift Leon door mirrors off Ebay at a great price of £30. They're in excellent condition as well.

Just wanted to clarify something before i go and start ripping things off the door.
From the looks of the inner mirror cover on my Leon's door. The mirror cover goes below the inner door pannel.
I was wondering if it was necessary to remove the door pannel first and then remove the mirror cover or can the job be done without taking the door pannel off ?

I'm assuming that the inner mirror cover is just clipped on and a little pull will make it come off ?

Take door card off - remember to unhook all cables and connections, as well as the door handle cable.
Make sure the mirror wiring is undone.
Take plastic section off the interior behind the mirror.
Unscrew the single, large screw behind the mirror - there is only one screw holding it in.
Pull the mirror off - you might need to wiggle it a bit to get the retaining pegs out easily.
Job done.

Fitting is the reverse of the above.... just remember to put the plastic section behind the mirror back in place before you put the door card on, as it clips underneath ;)

Basically... there is one screw holding them on, but a couple of small pegs holding it in the right place. I changed both in 10 minutes on the first time I ever did it :)

Cheers Rob.
I've taken the door pannels off before when I sorted the seals out so its a straightforward job.
Getting some FR caps to go on the mirrors as well then I'll be selling the chrome pre facelift mirrors that are currently on the car :)

if youre after some, i have a drivers side FR mirror cap for sale in mint condition
