Ah I see, well it seems pretty dry up under the front window, im just really worried now that water will get in!

Might call the VW garage over the road and see how much it would cost to get it sealed back up!

i suspect you will make more of a mess of it if you tried messing with a hot melt glue gun.

make sure the ecu has a cover of some sorts on it to stop water getting in

Not being funny but you can seal it by sticking a polythene bag over it!!! The steales will probably charge you summit extautionate!!!! They tried charging me £120 to change the rear brake pads!!! So i done it myself!!!! Why not try that cover thats on ebay??

putting a bag over the ECU could spell problems too. If it gets damp, and stays damp then you're not in a good position.

Remembering the atmosphere is 'damp' too

deflector plate is the better option IMO

True. Couldn't you just use a sealer gun and sealer obviously!!??? Like wot you'd use to seal windows???

you wont get a cover thats water tight dude, its just there to keep the water off the ecu

im pretty sure pugs/citroens run bosch ecus too, not the same one but a similar shape, and that one i showed up just pops over it

A sealed bag wont work as the air inside the bag will hold any moisture and probably cause problems too

You just need something that will let the ECU 'breath' without letting it get damp at all

Oh as m0rk says too ;)

Maybe use some Bostic double sided sticy pads or summit???

That is deigned just to deflect the water and make it run through the drain hole.

May order one and see if it works then let you guys know! Altho im assuming most of you dont let monkeys near your car lol!

I do everything myself but i dont mess with the ECU lol

Well don't let a monkey near your ecu either!!!!

Just run it to Jabba. Plus you'll have a wicked run back with the remap. It'll take you 2 hours to get there and an hour to get back!!!!!! LOL.

If I do go for a remap now I will go to JKM and get Revo I think!

But gona get my wheels on first then worry about that when the cash flow is back up!

Just waiting on my bolts now

Yeh the wheels arrived but not the nuts/bolts whatever you wana call them lol!

But hey the two things I wanted to get sorted on my week off didnt happen ! Wheels with no bolts and no remap ! Oh well
