No probs with my FR 18's either. Again, just with the curb jumping out into the middle of the road and hitting my wheels.

Yep, I've noticed a bubble under the paint on the side of one of the spokes of the rear wheel caused by a stone chip I presume. Only done 8k so don't expect them to wear well at all[:@]
Car now has mud flaps so may help.
Yet another thing else that seems to lack "quality" though. Wonder if the Golf GT Sport (170 TDI) is better put together? Had BBS on my Mk 4 Golf GTI which looked great after 3 years on the road. But hey, the FR's 18" are no BBS, nor are the costed as such. Can't have your cake and eat it!

Mine have bad stone chips after 4k. Would like to change them but loads of £££ i don't won't to spend at the moment. Had to have the LCR wheels resprayed cos the dealer wouldn't sort, much better after tho made the car. Might get these resprayed in anchracite.

Is the bubbling covered under warranty?

Couple of blokes at work say they got all their alloys replaced on a mazda mx5 when the same happened

Had a focus before this and when sold it was 6 years old and not a sign of this bubbling effect on the alloys

My old ibizas alloys never had any issues. Got one stone chip on the k1's alloys. Who makes the alloys for SEAT again? Isnt it BBS and some other big company alloy wheel dependent?

bought my 2 yr old FR recently, before i picked it up , i pointed out a kerbing to one of the 18" alloys. The stealer had it refurbed so well that i couldnt tell AT ALL. but they didnt stop there, they refurbed the other 3 alloys as in their opinion they would look inferior to the first one.

well impressed and it shows how well the job can be done

I took my FR in to get the window skoosher fixed and I told them about a bit of corrosion on one of the wheels when I got there. Later that day when I picked it up they told me they had ordered a replacement wheel under warranty no questions asked!
When the wheel arrived, I took it in to get it changed over but there was a problem when I went back to pick it up. Turns out they had taken the wheel off, changed the tyre and fitted it to my car before they noticed the new wheel was a different colour!!! Apparently seat have changed the colour of the andromeda wheels and they don't have any stock (and won't get any more) of the wheels in the colour I have.
Been meaning to get back to them about this 'cos I've since noticed that 2 other wheels are also corroded.
