Hi,

Just picked up my new ride, Black Orions on Black Magic with black/congnac leather.
I am extremly satified so far, very nice car.
Anyone have some opinion on the Ipod cradle ?

Yes, the Ipod cradle is a bit hit and miss. all you can do is flick through the tracks one by one.

It helps if you make 5 play lists and name them 1,2,3,4,5 in Itunes then you can access them by pressing the 1,2,3,4,5 preset buttons on the head unit ( playlist 6 will be all tracks I think) and then flick through the tracks of your selected playlist.

FR on Black Orions with Cognac Leather? Sounds like a facelift car Nath - his stereo/iPod interface will be different... I think the new one is supposed to be much better.

You can just put MP3 files/folders straight onto a USB stick and stick that in the USB socket will give folder name first then when you have selected a folder the full track name of each song in the folder. Had a play with it on a test drive in an FR TDi on Saturday.

The Seat Media System 2.0 can take a SD memory card (upto 32 G). 8 gigg are the best value option for about a tenner. You can store you music and sat nav maps on it with plenty of room. Ive got about 70 albums with maps on mine with spare room for more

you need a SD card. then you can copy the nav files onto it.

Sorry to restart an old post!

I have a FL Leon and got the Ipod Cradle today and it seems excellent so far using 3gs iphone.

I don't know how it would work without the Navigation unit as you can move through the ipod/iphone menu using the touch screen in exactly the same way as the SD Card or USB stick.

Yes its a 2010 FL - the cradle was £65 plus p&p off ebay (genuine seat) took 4 days to arrive,takes about a minute to fit too!

it is also £65 at the dealers but i live more than an hour away from my nearest one so i just ordered it!

bit expensive but i think worth it as my itunes stuff does not all want to go onto USB/SD cards without hassle of converting the formats to MP3!

no aeroplane mode and it charges the phone/ipod too!
