leon ihi top speed?

hope this hasnt been asked before but whats the top speed like on a leon ihi? anyone know?

Not on here although a few have spoken to Jabba about it seem to remember Bills Beezer in old spec getting a GPS verified 170mph 'ISH coming back from the 'ring (Obviously that's circa 1000-1100kgs a Leon would be circa 1350kgs)

At 6700rpm in 6th in my car i was doing 156 GPS and off clocks approx 165.

How long have you been posting on here...

Limiter is controlled by the ECU not the turbo. If remapped (and you have to be for the IHI) you could change the limiter to whatever you want. The IHI turbo certainly produces its power higher in the rev range and keeps going unlike the K0* turbo's.

Not a hope in hell will an LCR do 167mph true speed! He'd be reading around 180 on clocks if they were to read that high!

Cant see IHI doing more than 165mph either!

Max...I should have said does the mapping of the IHI allow the limiter to be moved upwards! Im well aware its ecu controlled

7700prm limiter likely.. so calc that on ya 6spd ratio's

will take a while to get there.

if the ibiza can do 170mph I dont see why a Leon could'nt (eventually)

The spec will be pretty comprehensive - I gave them `carte blanche` to do what they feel is right for me, and I know without reservation that they know what they are doing, so the outcome will be quite interesting
It wont be as hot as Bill`s motor, but should be quite quick all the same
Standard capacity/S3 pistons/Forged rods/smallport head - gas flowed/uprated valves/Dahlback manifold/Evoshield/Jabba FMIC/ Aquamist/Milltek 2.75" with single back box/Uprated clutch/Quaife diff
Not sure yet which turbo they are going to use!!
Got the Porsche 993 `Big Reds` upfront and EBC grooved/drilled at the rear with Red Dot pads
Dropped about 20mm on Eibach Pro Street Coilovers, using Eibach rear ARB, with the standard front.
8.5/18 Sportecs with P-Zero Corsa 235/40/18
Well that`s it for a start! -I`ll just have to see how I get on!!
