Leon instrument lights permanently ON

Just bought an 03 plate leon Se Tdi110 with full service history and 82k on clock. Just noticed that the instrument panel and other lights on climatronic panel etc remain ON all the time but definitely go off when the ignition is switched off. Is this a Leon "feature" or a wiring fault?
Look forward to having a reply and using this forum in the future.

yes they stay on all the time, on the right side of the dash near the door, there should be a dimmer switch, next to the switch to alter the angle of the headlights.

thanks for prompt reply Lee. reassuring its not a fault, just couldn't find any reference to it in the handbook.

noticed the same when I test drove mine, though I'd turned the lights on by accident

make sure you got your lights on when its dark... cause when your in a well lit area you will assume they are on cause your dashlights are on....i did this a few times when i first got the car lol
