Leon keeps cutting out please help! !!**Fault codes now listed**!! Tech's please look

Today my car keeps cutting out. EVERY time I come up to a junction, traffic lights or a roundabout etc and slow down putting my foot on the clutch the bloody car just cuts out!

This has happened before, last time I just took it for a nice long drive on the motorway and it was sorted. Today this isn't helping its just cutting out, I have a strange smell that I cant identify but was a very hot smell.

I'm really in the sh*te here as today is the first day of my holiday and I'm meant to be going away, the misses isn't to impressed!

Please someone, help me!

Right Ive been looking into this more and have a little more info on the car. It would appear that the throttle responce is awful. Also i dont know if this is related but for the last couple of days I've had some really loud pops and bangs when changing gear. I mean really loud you feel then vibrate through the car! Might be nothing but hoping someone can help!

I had the same, come to a junction, pop the clutch down and itll stall!

Reset the throttle body - if you dont have vag com or a liquid gauge disconnect the battery for like 20 mins, this "should" reset the ECU. Also check spark plugs.

I've disconnected the battery so fingers crossed. If there is anyone local with vagcom and 10 minutes I would be very grateful.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Your guess is as goodas mine! It was fine when I drove to phill's. We have wiped all codes on the car, I'm gonna go back in a week so and see if anything has come up so will keep you posted.

Guys this is still happening! Phil reset it on the vagcom and it stopped and now it's cutting out again!!!!!!

It's driving me crazy, nothing is showing on vagcom I'm really in need of people who have had this or know what it could be.

Any help appreciated!!

Couple of things I have noticed:

1- when it cuts out it's only running on half boost
2- it seems to be 'popping' alot when it's playing up

this happened to my cupra r, putting clutch down and it wud stall, what it ended up being was the concetric slave clylinder part of the clutch had gone! new one of those n problem was fixed!!

So was it just the cylinder that needed replacing? Can you remember what cost was involved? Finally is there a way of testing it or did you just renew it?

Sorry for all the questions, you're the only person that seems to have had this!

Bring it back tomorrow Barnie and i'll put it back onvax.com and see what codes have come up, i should be around from 3 onwards.

There where loads about eight, but Barnie had disconnected the battery and the maff which may have generated some codes also it had not been looked at since Barnie bought it so don't know how old the codes where so difficult to know what was what, so wiped them all hopefully he can come back tomorrow and we should see all the relevant codes which should help.
From memery there was:
Battery code....from disconnection
Boost leak.......Normal every one has this one LOL
Cat not working code........De-Cat
An idle related code............Not sure about that one could be from the maf, or the problem we shall see if its come back.
Cant remember the rest.

Maf has given me similar symptoms, didnt stall but barely hung on everytime I pulled up.
Dirty TB will do it too but usually only when cold.
