how can you patent a heated screen?
it's just glass with heating elements in it..

anyway, the mini has the option of a heated front screen, so ford is not the only car to offer such an option.

i dont think patents is the reason.. I am arranging a minimum 10qty buy to have some heated ibiza screens made... but the qty rea'd to entertain manufacture is 10 off

autoglass list one....I just got mine replaced there and they said they had a heated one listed.

And you can get heated screens for the old style mini with the ford style elements......and 1960's rally minis had them too! Its definitely not a ford patent thing!
