what is the difference in the 1.9 tdi -

110bhp leon
150bhp leon

is it just the software and the turbo? or more?

i want to reach 150bhp without remmaping it, when i reach 150bhp then ill remap it!!! the more power the better

Unfortunately can't afford to buy or insure a 150bhp model.

Cheers

Timmy

But if you have an accident you're f**ked. literally. It really isn't worth hiding anything at all from insurance companies. They're just looking for a reason not to pay out....any insurance inspector will be able to spot the sort of mods yo'd be doing. it's something that's been discussed on here many many a time, and really isn't worth the risk....

each to their own though :)

Timmie insurance companies are not stupid!

If you cant afford to insure it, you can't afford to mod it.....end of!

150 PD also has a better intercooler I believe.

You are better off saving your money and getting a 150bhp rather than trying to mod up to it without a remap.

Either that or go to Allards and throw money at it ;)

yes the 150 has a FMIC where as everything else below has a SMIC as standard. The difference between your 110 and the 150 is alot, they have a totally different head/injection system. The 110 is a rotary direct injection system, the 150 uses the newer PD injection system.

If you want to up the power of your 110 you would need bigger 'transporter' injectors and a FMIC and then a remap to take it into account. You can also fit a 150 PDs turbo to it if you want.

i doubt an insurence company would pick up on the changed turbo.

When i had a bump in my corsa a guy came round looked at my rear bumnper and said is that standard? i said no and he just said all hed be able to do is replace it with a standard part, then he ticked the box and left.
