^^^^^ yeah lots of leon people don't realise that

to be fair it doesn't need any more than 5 for top speed as it will do about 170 if you have the power to red line in 5th

6 would be nice but not really needed

170! surely it hasn't got the aerodynamics or power to do that

hi,im just after any comments anyones got as im thinking of changing my leon cupra to the ibiza cupra i know its the same engine etc have any you guys done the same???

Why are you thinking of changing?

I went from a Leon Cupra to an Ibiza FR TDi and haven't regretted it at all. It's not that much smaller inside, apart from the boot, is pretty well equipped and is much cheaper to run, although mine is a diesel. I prefer driving the Ibiza to the Leon as it is a bit more 'edgy' and not quite as grown up. The performance of the Ibiza is not far off the Leon's. The ride is perhaps not quite as comfortable but I don't mind that. The looks – you can make up your own mind about them. Personally I like the lthe Ibiza's appearance.

I Did, went from a ovni cupra tdi leon to a red ibiza cupra tdi but now thinking of changing again if I can find a cheap FR+ in grey.to be honest the Ibiza is more go-cart like but I found the Leon more comfory on long runs.

davels 170 im sure wouldnt be a problem apparently i could see 180! ;) not got any plans of trying that tho!

Boring!! lol... I know the old PD130 Sport 6th gear is pretty long and good for 190mph+ of course with a remap it can get there! :D

 hopefully no1 else will be trying that soon!!! is the cupra on the way i see the prelude is for sale!

oops yeah prelude has gone. got my money back and made £500 at the same time  Cupra in a couple of months :D maybe even petrol but we'll see ;) need to get better than 200 miles to a £45 tank

as for the question of ibiza or leon, i'd only go for a leon over a beeza if i needed more room for kids etc, but then i would still think twice

i would love too but its freakin miles to walk:lol:, might be able to hijack my sisters er...... Corsa:hide: its a beast i tells ya :ban:

I did the same swap! I do miss the looks of the leon cupra compared to the 1.2esque looks of the older Ibiza FR. The ibiza is a very noisey car in terms of road noise compared to the leon and some parts of it do feel a little cheap in comparison.

It is however much cheaper to run which means the mortgage gets paid off earlier which means you can get something decent sooner :D
