Lights on indicator

Right I just need confirmation on whether I've lost the plot or whether my car has a fault already.

On the 1.4 when I turned on the lights I would get a small green icon appear on the RPM dial.

In the FR I've noticed that this doesn't appear and I can't find mention of it in the user manual either.

However if you look at the SEAT interior photos of the Ibiza FR there is the little indicator merrily burning away.

Fault or feature ?

fr should have lights on icon in rev counter could be fuse or bulb gone

Cheers Gaz, thought that might be the case. Everything else seems to be working fine illumination wise so I'm guessing it's most likely the bulb.

When you first turn the key before starting, does it turn on all the dash indicators so you can check if the bulbs have gone ?

Can't remember if it does or not...but if so that would be a way to check if a bulb had gone.

All the usual lights come on. I never remember the lights indicator coming on during that phase, even on the 1.4.

Everything else that is meant to be displayed does appear.

just checked on my car and when i first turn the key one of the lights not tested is the green 'lights on symbol' (which is above the battery on the rev dial). but as soon as you turn onto side lights or main, the green lights on symbol should appear - hope this helps

The facelift FR's dont have this light!

I should have mentioned mine is a facelift FR.

One less phone call after all

BTW they are not bulbs they are LED's

also on the fr you should find that the indicator stalk will put the left or right parking light on with ignition off

this is good for battery saving when parked at the side of the road in the dark
