Lights on warning sound

Hi All
My daughters 2002 Ibiza's lights on warning sound has stopped working. Personally I wouldnt be bothered but its her first car and she wants everything to work. We've all been there havent we?
Any ideas before I start tracing wires?

Hi,

You're looking in the wrong section, mk3 or mk4 is the one you want.
mk3 is 2000-2002 while mk4 is the newer shape (2002 onwards)

on early models it's like a relay just plugged in but on later ones i think it uses the buzzer on the back of the speedo which could be a royal pain.

mind you as it's triggered by lights on and door open etc - does the interior light automatically work ok ?

be worth a check

Mine works - and then it doesn't - and then it works - no rhyme nor reason to it.... tell her to ignore it.

Thanks Fl@pper. The interior light doesnt come on so it looks like a fuse blown.
Can you tell me hwo to remove the air filter please? Hope you dont think I'm being cheeky but it looks a right pain and i dont want to break anything.

I would check that if I could find the damn thing. Where on earth is it? I've looked all around the door frame and no sign of it.

On my cupra its on the center piller and looks like a black gromit but... its not lol About the size of a 10p coin, I'll get a picture of it later tonight.

Apparently my daughters Ibiza is a MK4 so the switch is inside the door lock mechanism. Thanks anyway.
