So, my Liquid Gauge arrived yesterday and I had to go out for a little play when I got home. What a cracking piece of kit.

Now, my car is standard apart from Forge TIP/Hoses/DV and a Carbonio CAI

Obviously the first thing I wanted to do was a BHP run which gave me a surprising result to be honest. 192 BHP :-o

I've read that the gauge is fairly accurate, so should I be happy with that result or worried that it seems a lot higher that I expected it to be?

Youve gota stage 1 map mate! what was the boost pressure? & yer, they are pretty accurate! I LOVE my LG - never get bored or stop playing with it!! :D did you also get the vent mount - so neat!

Read up about the dyno runs - im getting my re-tunned on the dyno as im on a stage 2, once I got the read out ill do an LG dyno run and compare :)

No, its completely standard, I've had the car from new. Not sure about the boost pressure, but I'll go out for another run when I get home and post it up.

192 isnt standard! LOL! hummmmm, if youve had it since new - then im stumped! Standard boost is circa 10psi.

Lee will know ;)

Do a few more bhp runs and see what it says - may have been a rare spike...............

Also check out the 0-60! haha hours of fun nailing the off line start! ;)

Thats what worried me, could have been a spike as I only went for a quick run.
I did get the vent mount, can't wait to install it properly.

Done a few more runs just now and get a fairly consistent 186-188 BHP / 166lbs.
Boost on LG is 8.5psi Stepper Gauge reads peak of 10psi
So gutted I couldn’t do any 0-60 runs, think its old biddies day out round my area at the moment!
I did have 2 codes on the diagnostics, anything to worry about?
17769 - Cyl. 3, ignition circuit Open Circuit
17772 - Cyl. 4, ignition circuit Open Circuit

boost levels are defo stock , its possible that your car is just running really well mate , my last cupra pulled 186bhp and was totally stock, stock dv , stock intake and stock exhaust so it is possible

well boost is standard - and good. Just wondering- have you always looked after it and ran V-power type fuel? My 2000 cupra was certianly faster and standard boost than my mates facelift on half the milage to mine back in the day!
Ermmm open circuit.............. not sure on that one im afraid mate, perhaps dodgey connection?? youl now get into the problem I have, once a week run a check and make sure everythings tip top until you never have error codes again! LOL!! :) plus side is mines purrring, well apart from a dodgey new MAF! but least I know its the new MAF as i Know everything else is fine!

My LG is giving me anything between 210-222BHP (depending on temp and speed) on an APR Stage 1 98RON map with boost peaking at around 1.25Bar(18psi).

Recently since fitting FR3 engine mounts the boost is peaking nearer 1.4Bar (20psi) sometimes though!

HAHA Mookster!! :) any relation to the word "mook" one which I use far too much!! lol if not - no im not actally jus crazy.................. cough!

Cheers guys, feeling better that its not over boosting. It was around 11pm and fairly cold when I hit 192

Always run on V-Power, regular service and plenty of TLC. Still only covered 28k miles.

You're right Andy, don't think I'll every stop looking for codes. Probably be the cause of me planting it in a wall one day fiddling with the LG.

Planning on Stage 2 this year over the next 6 months, so I'm happy I've got a good base to start from.

Thats it then - living proof good fuel and well looked after from new and it holds its power! :)

HAHA yes, be careful - i was fiddling about the other day (had it for agges now and still fiddling!) and had a bit of a drunk driver stance on the motorway! lesson learnt............. kinda!

I REALLY reccomend Revo stage 2, mines turned down at the mo while I fit my FMIC this wknd. So im 18 - 20psi and 210 bhp. Get those good supporting mods and youl be laughing :D I see your "kinda" local to me - so get yourself down JKM in Pompey to do your map - very very impressed!

HAHA Mookster!! :) any relation to the word "mook" one which I use far too much!! lol if not - no im not actally jus crazy.................. cough!
lol yeah my mates call me mook sometimes as my surname is Pook. For me the name is from the line in Once upon a time in Mexico when Johnnie Depp says to a cab driver "Can't you see i'm blind you F**k Mook!". It wasnt untill much later I realised it was an americanism for fool!

Lol it digs deeper than just an americanism for fool ma firend ;) look into it! haha!

Also a new one, is Dook - a dook is a mook but whos got douchebag tendancies! HAHAHA

Thats Portsmouth isn't it? Bit of a trip, but whos complaining if you're doing it in a Cupra and coming back with Stage 2!

Theres a place real close called Tuning Werkes that are auth Revo dealers, was going to start a thread in the future to see if anyone had any feedback. Seriously need to sort the ride and brakes first though
http://www.tuningwerkes.com/index.html

Be gratetful if have any advice on my other thread 'Another Suspension Question'

Ive heard of them - they did some work on a mates golf, ill see if I can get some feedback for ya! Problem is - they can put Revo sorftware on, but then its down to the garage tallent to tweek the map to your car and to how you drive / want it set up! JKM are VAG specilists and the level of detail is amazing!

I think you got me convinced there with that recommendation, not worth taking a chance just cos they're local.

I take it you’ve also got the SPS switch as you mentioned you have it turned down at the moment. Is it worth the extra cash getting one?

Id say if its worth doing - its worth doing properly!!

Nah I dont have the SPS, i nearly bought one. But jkm turned it down due to not wanting to cook it on the standard little SMIC. Once ive got my FMIC in this wknd, and im happy with the logs - ill book it back in for a RR tunning session to get it turned up and running how I want it! :D

SPS is good if you want to turn it down when your missues drives it, and immob etc. personally I just drive it off boost when going to work etc then extra torques = better mpgs on motorway.
