cam shaft position sensor
fuel pressure regulator circuit open

car is with seat, i will get them to try the fuse thing...

cheers

Ok cool, how come they took it back in again now? My money is on the camshaft sensor i think. Same problems happen on the 1.8t's if the sensor goes down.

I have been reading the whole thread for days now and first come to the conclusion it is the alternator, but then I thought perhaps its the o2 sensor, or possibly camshaft sensor, or abs sensor, or the maf, gearbox even ?, the drivers seat? But then after all this pondering I thought
I wonder if it could be F21????????????????????????????????????????????????:bleh:

So what do we all think then?

I'm sure someone mentioned a fuse or something :D

RSTuning, May not be the place to ask, but while we await a response on F21, How much is your remap on the Cupra Mk II and what are your graphs like, BHP, NM like? Thanks

We can do the MK2 for £445 with a before and after if you require

Thats a before and after, the spike is overboost to make the extra torque but can be made to suit how you want, Less boost in low down makes more power but less torque so the choice is yours :)

spoke to them, they said even a misfire can cause the epc light to come on, and the first fault my dealer found was the coilpack/misfire problem, so it could just be that ...

anyway, the seat in leeds are booked today and sat, so there suggestion was to call aa and see if there vag com style gadget can clear it...

i still havn't tried this fuse 21 yet, am planning to call the AA out and see if there machine can detect anything different.

I work for renault and we tell people to call the AA all the time

they cant do bugger all with there diagnostic but it passes the buck lol

btw how did you get on with fuse 21?

So to a degree, this is set up on the RR, sort of a custom map?

Wonder if F21 has been tried yet :-o

Hey mate - Just wondered if you have a spare key that one of the SCN massive could borrow it and look at F21 before the dealer does :p

Yes mate, i setup most cars on the dyno to make sure the afr is right etc :)

Excellent, just what im looking for, just need the funds now. Have you had any issues with the standard fuel pump or do you manage to keep within it limits comfortably without any problems? Are you just in Leeds? How long does the remap take? Only other mod is a pipercross airfilter, will the upgrade take the better flow into account?

So far i've not had any problems with the tfsi's in general but all have been a stage 1 setup. I know the octy vrs with a stage 2 sometimes experiences issues resolved by an uprated pump.

I Can take into account the mods you have on the car no problem but i would not expect better flow from a £200 quid filter than from the one the manufacturer spent thousands developing!

On average most filters we see have actually lost some power compared to a standard airbox with a foam panel filter.

If you need anymore info feel free to ask away

Cheers

Paul

P.s. any news on the car Wayne?

Hi, my filter is a foam application fitted in the standard airbox to maintain the 'standard' look. I would bring the standard filter along anyway. Whats your booking time like? I take it a couple of hours for the job.
