location of throttle body

ok my mk2 1.4 has done nearly 80k, given me very little problems and i love it its a fantastic little car

anyway recently the engine has been bit rough on idle and rpm has been fluctuating between 1k rpm and dropping by about 300 or so

anyway i reckon its the throttle body and it could do with a clean, i have seen this mentioned numerous times but no idea where this is. can some let me know, and whats best to clean it with?

its located right under the airbox, a clean rag might be enough, i wouldnt bother spraying much down into it.

i assume you need to take the airbox on the top of the engine off then?

yeah open the airbox its the butterfly valve in the middle, some WD40 and a rag will be enough to get it back in shape
