Lock unlock button not working

Hi guys have a problem with the Lock/unlock button inside altea when I drive off the doors will automatically lock but if I need to unlock door or lock door with switch I get nothing but lock button will light up red when I pull away I've tryed a new switch but still the same any ideas

I have the exact same issue. Doin my flippin head in....
all locks work normally etc etc.
Ive also tried a new switch from Seat.
Pain in the ass....

Does yours light up when put lights on mine don't just when the doors auto lock

Auto-lock is an anti-carjacking measure, but can be annoying. You can turn it off with VCDS if you want to.
I find you have to hold the button on "unlock" for a bit, not just press it and release. Give it a try?

Auto lock don't bother me just the lock/unlock button tryed keeping it pressed in still no joy it's as if there's no power to it but once the auto lock comes on the lock button will turn red is there a fuse for this button can't see nothing in manual cheers

Yep, it lights up when lights are on, and turns red when locked. Thats it!
I think I'll disable it with VCDS.

Got the anti hijack disabled and key 1 press for all doors

Got the anti-hijack disabled, and also now 1 press of the key to unlock all doors.

also got brake lights that now flash under heavy braking. And I thought this feature was only on very new hi end cars?
Cool for a 2005 car. By why is it not enabled from the factory?

A friend has VCDS.
Did it for a bottle of red!
