Where shall i look? Really want me a red cupra and have decided its deffo my next car after just selling mine.

I've been checking pistonheads, ebay, here and autotrader. Are there any other forums etc?

Took me two months to get the one i have now. I just kept checking the forum, Piston Heads and Autotrader a couple of times a week. Eventually my waiting paid off and i now have a black one, the colour i've always wanted

Looks quite nice mate, definately a very good price for the mileage. I'm always a little wary of people that havent fixed faults before they sell the cars. I would recommend getting someone to have a look over it. I paid for an RAC fella to look at mine, and it gives you peace of mind.

Just spoken to them and they have someone viewing the car tomos. Doubt i can get there before then. Hasnt had the cambelt done either.

im in the market too! looking everywhere!

not too fussed on the colour, but a silver one would be my first choice with blue/black close behind :)

Dunc

Any ideas how much the major service is? Would be a good bartering tool whatever i look at. Whats needed? Cambelt, water pump or anything?

It varies between delears.

I got quotes of between £250 & £350 for a cambelt and water pump change only (due around 60,000 miles or 4 years old)

Add service costs onto that and you're looking at about £500. It can be done cheaper, guys on here have sourced the parts required and got local mechanics to do the work, depends how much you want to save really.

I got mine done by Inde-Tech in MK for about £270 i think

Yeah thats true and i have the money to buy a mint one to start with. I'll keep looking i think. :)

If you have the money and the patience to wait then wait for a car that don't need no work doing to it.

That knocking from the rear don't sound too good...especially as he still hasn't had it repaired.

Just be patient...you'll realise why in the long term.

I might be selling mine, its just had 2 new tyres, its 70k service (cambelt and waterpump done at 67k) plus an engine rebuild, new clutch, new cooling fan, ac regassed you name it. Usual Car park dents, one scratch on n/s rear quarter panel.
Revo stage 2 with all the goodies, good for 230-240bhp.
I keep saying im going to sell it but now ive spent time and money on it I feel a bit attached! but since moving to london it just doesnt get used enough so who knows. Getting its MOT next week and then its decision time me thinks
