On my way home last night I came apon some fist sized boulders scattered across the road just around a bend.

So I was unable to avoid them or stop. I went straight over them. The above pics are the result.

You can say my alloy is gubbed. Anyone know how much a new one will cost?
or if you have a spare lying about let me know.

Are Cupras meant to come with a spare alloy wheel in the boot? cos mine came with a steelie which doesnt fit over the front brakes.

Thats harsh mate.

I though Cupras came with a spare for that reason with the brakes.

Someone correct me?

Mine's got an alloy spare and I'm pretty sure the rest of them should have as well?

Oopsie, thats not good, and neither is the spare wheel situation. All Cupra's left the Seat factory with an alloy spare - maybe yours took a vacation?

Seriousley tho, at least you and the car are generally ok - Things could have been much worse. I'm not sure how much new alloy's are, but im sure someone will be along in a sec with an answer.

You may also want to ask the steeler what happened to it before you bought the car...

From memory, they're around £150 each and then you have the tyre on top of that. Can't remember if that's +vat or not though.

Yeah, i would phone the dealer and say you havent got the spare alloy so they should provide you with one i would think.

I'll be on the phone to the delear 2morro. I bought it from Arnold Clark so I'm guessing they've stolen it. I bought it pre-registered so it's gone missing at the showroom.

Hopefully they'll gimme a new alloy and I can keep the steelie as a spare.

I think you may have a fight on your hands as they'll probably argue that you swapped it and you have no real proof that you didn't as it were. It basically comes down to your word against theirs and unfortunately it's down to you to check that everything's there when you picked up the car.

Yeah, you wont be able to move the car just now then can you if the wheel doesnt fit?

Bad luck mate.
So I take it that Cupras should come with a spare alloy and FRs with a Steel
spare?

New Cupra Alloy from dealer £230 about 2 months ago.

I hit a pothole while coming away from Star Performance in Fife going North in a wee village... not concentrating properly .. anyway.. time I had thought about the wheel being wrecked I was 2 hours away from the hole.. so ate the cost .. it was that or 4 hours of my life :-( (mind I had hoped they would be £170-180). The rim will repair I suspect (same cut sidewall and similar damage) so I hope to have a backup for the next inevitable pothole :-(

Seat costs... you can get a Rolls Royce serviced for £375.. yet a dealer wants £180 for a wee Seat .. while other wee car dealers want £100-120 .. hum.. cheap to buy but they get you back on the spares.

I phoned up Arnold Clark to find out if it shoulda had a alloy spare. The wee boy took my chassis number. After checking he said yes it should have 1.
So I said right so can I get 1 free of charge since it was supposed to be in my car.
He said he'd have to check with his manager, he says he'll give me a call back soon.
I said ok but Im just starting work so leave a message an I'll call back tomorrow.

I'm still waiting for that call. lol

I'm not expecting much since I've had the car 6months but if you dont try you dont get.

Would it be worth popping in?

Hope it gets sorted for you soon mate.
