Hi guys,

Just a quick one, in all this rain my car seems to be losing power!!!!

I moved the cai from down by the front wheel back up to where it used to be thinking it was that, Just had the coil packs changed for other reasons so i know it is that.....

Any ideas?????

Might sound stupid, but its not because the TCS is cutting the power due to lack of grip in the wet is it? It can cut in much earlier than you think without flashing the warning light on the dash!

When it's wet it's much harder to put the power down, so you'll always get a small amount of slip from the wheels. Just for the same reasons it grips much better on warm, smooth, even tarmac. In the wet there is much, much less grip so power that would normally be transferred to the ground is wasted.

100mph in the wet? nice

i'd guess you've damaged your maf from maybe sucking up some water.

Just been looking, i can see a bit of oil on top of the intake?? maybe head on it's way??? Went to Cardiff and and the other week. 150 mile round trip, went all the way there and back at 150mph that was in the wet also, maybe thats what done the old girl in!!!!!!!
