Loss of power in 56 leon fr tdi (170)-help?

I have a 56 seat leon fr tdi 170bhp. Just recently i have noticed when i get upto 3000 revs in 2nd, 3rd & 4th gear i get sudden loss of power then it returns quickly. Does any one know what could be causing this????

did you ever find out what the problem was? i've got the same car and age same problem but no fault codes?

Local mechanic changed fuel filter back to normal ever since.
