Loss of power

Hi everyone i have a 2010 ibiza cupra the other day I set off and the car lost power for a few seconds then drove normal when i started it up next day the engine may light was on. I had a diagnostic test done and they are saying its the throttle change over valve causing it. Has anyone else had this problem
