loud engine noise and vibration after 4k rpm

This has only recently started happening, had the cambelt and water pump changed about 2k miles ago....engine now at 80k, went to rolling road day last weekend in case that makes a difference.

just noticed it on the way home tonight with the a/c on, just after 4k rpm there is alot of vibration from the engine can feel it in the steering wheel as if it were your playstation controller. No engine mods at all oils correct level never had any problems before, this is quite un nerving though.

engine sounds like it should be at 7rpm as it sounds soo loud!

anyone help before something goes bang :S

a/c compressor tight?

does feel like it should be something that is loose or has become unbalanced and I have been using the A/C alot lately (usually I turn it off as until lately never been hot enough to really warrent it).

could i test this by taking it for a spin with the a/c off?

its just something along the belt train which would have been disturbed by your recent work.

worth a go... so clutch is out and off load

tested this morning, still there even when in neutral, foot on the clutch...all this done with the a/c off.

could it be the water pump loose? kinda worrying this
