did you not get it aligned after you lowered it?

you need to take it to a professional to do this.

where i get my 4 wheel algnment done is about circa £30 IIRC

i was quoted by a tyre/exhaust/brake type garage; "£50 to set up the equiment , but for every adjustment to the car, it was £10 per item " (i can name and shame if required:whistle:)
ie:- 4 wheel alignment = one item,
front toe = one item,
rear toe = one item,
front camber = one item,
rear camber = one item,
because of labour involved:ban
Total £100 .......

i walked out.......

in short, ring round everywhere for quotes as you can pay alot less / more for the same thing! ;)

If you can stretch to it go to an independent VAG specialist who can offer a Beissbarth 4 wheel alignment. In the hands of a well qualified professional the car will transform. And don't be fooled into thinking a $hit Fit alignment will be sufficient either!

Agreed, that's the secret here - you need to find somewhere that doesn't just have the gear but the know how to use it. That's worth paying a few quid for.

Beissbarth are now owned by Bosch, and they are reputed to make the worlds most innovative wheel / tyre tools. They're kit has some amazing technological advancements on it (including the first non contact wheel alignment system).

Think how badly the average wheel is balanced these days using eons old crappy old machines. If you are going to make the effort to spend big money on decent suspension you owe it to yourself NOT to cut your nose off to spite your face at fall at the last hurdle. Do it right!!!

iirc it's about £100 for it to be done on a beissbarth system. But it is very technically advanced.

Another thing to remember is that most places can't do the wheel alignment on low cars as their equipment either does not fit under the arch or they cant get under the car to adjust it. Needs to be a system which fits onto the wheel like the beissbarth one.
