Lowering my Ibiza?

Got coilovers on mine and lowered it bout 60-70mm (guessing) had to knock the lip back on the front arches and still rubs a little, front splitter catches and can't do full lock. Found if you remove the inner arch or trim a bit off that stops a lot of rubbing.

But it's worth it when it handles lovely and looks 10x beter

Oh yeah I totally forgot that a larger wheel size is going to affect the speedo. If anyone finds that link could you post it

Did a test about that with a few of my mates cars.

We used the Tom Tom (same one) in my car and my speedo was 2mph faster than wot the Tom Tom was reading at 70mph on the speedo it was 68mph on the Tom Tom.

Then tired a Fiesta Si with 205/40 17" standard they 14" and the speedo was reading 2mph more than the Tom Tom.

Then tired a 306 with 205/40 17" and they are 14" standard to and again the speedo was reading 2mph more than the Tom Tom.

The speedo on a car is usually slightly out.

its on apex springs, cheap as they come.
couldnt afford to lower it properly so went for just springs. my advise is go for matched springs and shocks, but i didnt think that springs were all hat bad, although my car now feels like its got no suspensionat all, just steel bars. looks good though

the springs were rated at 40mm, but i got a boot full of weight.

Do you wheels catch on anything? either going over bumps or with people in the back?

Are you wheels ET38 Offset?

I had a corsa lowered 60mm, i have an idea of what to expect when it's done, but it looks mint!!

the wheels catch on full lock, but i dont hve people in the back so i dont know if it would ru. i doubt it would, as ive had people in the back before but when i do i dont hammer it anyway.
nothing whn i go over bumps either, it may make a knock or so if i go over a bit fast but then thats to expect.

Yeah i had a corsa lowered 60mm on 15's look mint!! can't really go any bigger on the wheels as it will scrub all the time, thats why i'm being sure it ain't goin to on my Ibiza!

Prob wont have people in the back but it was just for the odd ocasion that i might!

I'm putting 38 offset wheels on so wiether that will be better or worse i'll have to wait and see
