It's took a while but the tractorish ride height is getting on my nerves and i'm looking at lowering the car! Trouble is that i can only afford springs, which is fine have had loads of mates do it and it's lasted well!
however, the springs i've found are fine at a 35mm drop for the rear, but the front'll look ridiculous as it'll have the wheel tucked far too high in proportaion with the back!
Is is possible to but lowering springs that lower say 35-40mm at the back and less, say 20mm at the front? or......... can i just lower the back or will that cause more problems?

this lowering lark is a minefield! :headhurt:

springs are hit and miss really... i know you cant afford it but really try and save and get coilies.... no disappointment there as you can adjust to how you want but will save the disapointment of spending say £100 on springs and sitting like a pissed monkey..... (maybe wait for a 2nd hand set??)

only one way to find out for sure, even slightly lower is better than standard! <starsky and hutch impersonation>: Do IT!

spax springs will get rid of the tractor look!
brings the back down level with the front!

imo though, you will end up changing the shocks sooner as they will be forced to operate differently than they were desinged.

dont fanny about with springs, you will need dampers soon if you just use springs.

get coilovers and set the ride height to waht you want.

Have a serch they're not as exspensive as you think

theres a fine set of eibach springs in the for sale section ;)
should even up the back and front a bit if your just changing the springs on the back.

yup coileys are deffinatly the way to go im affraid .. i quite like the ride height of mine at the minute got rear arb and remap on my to do list.. i better get saving.. insurance is due in aug :(
