Recently had 40k service carried out on my 210 LCR.

Since it was done (or I've only noticed since) whilst the car is ticking over there is an occasional 'blip' in the tickover. If sitting in the car you feel it very slightly and the tacho needle moves fractionaly and when standing by the exhaust you hear it blip now and again.

The car is standard and is driving fine, I just wondered if anyone can throw any light on what it could be?

Possibly the throttle body needs a good clean. About £30 from a friendly garage, or you can do it yourself if you're "Mr Tools"..... :)

i've had the problem ever since buying my car in 2004. Throttle body clean helps, but doesnt cure it. Had lots of things done, nothing has solved it.

Just a characteristic i think - only other thing to check is coolant temp sensor as apparently these can cause similar issues - the green top one is the most reliable.

You started topping up at a different petrol station or using a different fuel?

Could be a batch of dirty fuel??
