well I've found some Hella TUV approved clear rears for about £150 then add the costing of the red tinting spray, about £10.

Unfortunetely there aren't any cheap alternatives for totally clears at the min. Only the god awful lexus ones which I wouldnt be seen dead with!

With you on the Lexus front - if i wanted Lexus lights i would buy a Lexus right! LOL!! It seems mad nobody offers any substantial upgrades on rear lights - you look at some other makes and models of cars an they have more rear lights to choose from than you can shake a stick at!!!!!!

thatll be me! i did them last year, bought the hella clear rears,
you need to remove the orange bulb covers which are welded inside the lights, for this you need a steady hand and a soldering iron, chop the bulb covers into 4 pieces and pull out of the hole with some pliers or similar, this is the hardest part but make sure you dont touch the clear part of the lights with the soldering iron or it will be seen from the front!

2 tins of red folia tec red tint from hellfrauds (£15 quid a can!!) a spot of masking and 3-4 nice flat coats!
but dont go on two heavy and make sure you leave it 10 mins between coats to flash off.

anyway heres some pics, they really do look factory.
