Magnex exhaust advice/ help!

Hiya guys, ive got an 03 leon cupra. I needed some help with regards to a magnex downpipe and cat system ive been offered for around £200. its 6 months old and in good nick.

First off i dont know too much about Magnex and how well recommended they come for the LC's, if anyone could give me some advice on how good magnex are and then it would be much appreciated. What kind of performance and sound note will i be getting? I was hoping for a Milltek if im honest but right now having just bought the car and paid for my KILLER insurance funds are a bit tight so maybe somewhere down the line il get a a milltek. Ive been told by a close mate whos a Golf Mk4 enthusiast that magnex are ok and for that price you cant go wrong but there are some serious Seat enthusiasts here who know a LOT about performance upgrades so i thought id ask here before shelling out 200 odd quid. Is the Price decent? Are the magnex exhausts any good? Recommended for the Cupras? Any help or advice would be much appreciated, cheers guys in advance look forward to hearing from you.

magnex have gone bust afaik. so support may be an issue, but as its used then warranty wont apply.

had a good name, 200quid is a good price if its in good condition.

what size is the dp and cat, and what cell is the cat?

i paid 110quid for a 8 month old milltek a while ago mind!!

Thanks a lot james, appreciate that dude. 110 quid for a milltek, thats a bargain even if it is 8 months old. You had to drop that in though didnt ya and make me sh*t jealous lol. Na its good though man. Erm as far as i know buddy its a 200 cell cat and im not too sure on the bore of the DP but as soon as i find out il let you know.

Buddy do you know what kind of sound il get outta the magnex. I love the milltek sound, jus sounds proper beefy & classy, i hate this chavvy backbox style sound with NOISE and nothing else. Do you know how the magnex's perform?

if its full turbo back system, then thats a real bargain mate.

magnex are louder than milltek iirc.

will be a nice sound though.

you will notice the tb system better with a custom remap matey, to incorporate the higher flow

Yeh its the DP and cat to the standard cupra catback. Its only the DP and cat, no catback. I was thinking 200 is a bit pricey cz having looked on the net i cant get a whole magnex system for 300 quid. Yeh yeh il deffo have to get it mapped to gain full potential. I have a magnex 6x4 oval turbo back exhaust on my LCR and I love the sound off it,nice little burble off it when it's on ideling and a sweet note off it when you put the foot down.I wanted a milltek but since I got this i'm not going to change.Love it.Can't comment on the price though cos I bought mine in euro's

I've got the same Magnex downpipe and sports cat and it's quality, got the full turbo back system and sounds great.

I loved the Magnex on my Fiesta...Such a shame they went bust
