i agree, but the reason i'm upgrading the bumpers is that the stock ones on the 130 look **** and i didn't have an extra 3K in my pocket for the FR

Well i only did it coz there was no Cupra R TDI (i did use to do high mileage), but now there is.. its sitting outside my house!
As its been said each to there own.. I buy a car to mod it, simple, i hate having a car that everyone else has... so i got a TDi and modded it from the ground up... complete different car and I'm admired for it really in many senses... but as its been said in the price its cheaper to just buy a LCR.. i could have brought 2 LCR's in the funds i have put into the FR TDi i have... now thats scary... but i sit back in the satisfaction there ISNT one anywhere like it...
Although there are a few following suit now, so gotta up the game soon...

Yes matey totally agree, there are times i think "wish i'd got the lcr" but having said that, my lc is slightly different in that it has a lcr splitter, mounted to the original bumper, and it looks factory.
For the reasons I like the lcr is it's 'tuffer' looks with the deeper bumpers, bigger wheels etc, but by the same reasoning I like my lc cos it's a bit of a "Q" car especially in the colour it's in, and a lot of people just don't know what it is, or whats it's capable of, which is primerilly the reason i got it.
And at one point i did consider going down the same route with lcr bumpers etc, but after a rethink can't see the point in fitting the lcr bumpers now, it's not an lcr, why try to make it look like one.

Yeah, I think making it look different/unique/better is fine, it' just the replication thing I've never understood as there's such a cost involved in doing it, then insuring the mods

I have a Leon 1.6s and as I have 6 points on my licence cannot afford a Cupra R!!!
But i have bought a set of Bellini 18's, Cupra R kit and am about to lower it and I think it will look really good. I wanted to change the appearance of my Leon as it looked very standard but all the kits out there are very chavish and the Cupra R kit is the only classy yet beautiful kit available.
I'm not trying to make it look like a Cupra R, it's just I like the styling so have imitated the kit and adding my own touches with different rims, lowering it and debadging it.
If you know people who know how, it can be a very cheap way to make a nice looking car look nicer.
