management light on (Cupra mk3) Help!

Since i fitted a cat back exhaust system and kn induction kit the engine management light came on. I disconnected the ecu and the light went off but it seems to have returned a few days and about 50miles later....

Any ideas folks? I'm due to fit a decat and get a revo stage 2 anyways but i'm puzzled!

buy a version of vag com of e bay , there only £15 with the cable for a copy version , problem solved

Engine management light can mean a lot of things. I had it come on on my 02 Leon Cupra, took it to the shop and it turned out to be a faulty Lamda sensor. If you can read the fault codes there is a great post in here of all the engine fault codes - although some of them won't mean a thing to you!
