hey,

I thought to do a project topic of my car. I have owned my current Cupra since June 2012 (scroll down).

But before this, I owned Seat Leon 1M 1.8T MY01

GOPR0630.JPG

It was totally stock when I bought it. I owned it from 2007 to 2012. So it was a long journey.

Engine:
238hp/375Nm, 1,5bar + dewils own stage 2 wmi + fmic.

Chassis:
KW var2, polybushes, arb....

Pictures of 1.8T

So, now to my current car.
Seat Leon Cupra 2008 2.0TFSI

I am from Finland. My English is not the best so let images do the job.

When I bought, it look like this:

There was fitted, 19" wheels and rims, H&R adjustable suspension kit and it was flassed to stage 1.

First I bought new track tyres Toyo R888 soft combound for OEM 18" rims.

Then fitted P-Flo.

Heatwrap it.

Then came the winter so had to buy new winter wheels, because the former were now on track use.

And allways after long and cold Finnish winter comes a short and wet summer, so it was time to but it in stage 2.

3" decat downpipe, with heat wrap. There is all so 3" simmons cat-bak installed, sorry no pics.

And as you can see I don't like black rims, I have to bought new 19" summer wheels and tyres.

What shortshifter do you have, Forge?
Front to back and side to side?

Car looks good...that tailpipe doesn´t sit so nice as the oem Cupra oval though...

Changed cam follower this morning. 78tkm on clock.
Pretty good shape I think.

I have two track days coming on this week. Saturday and sunday on Ahvenisto race track.
IMO best race track in Finland

To do list before track days.
Remove fog light cover to open cold air feed.
Remove rear seats for weight saving.
Change slicks tyres in the car.
Adjust ride height, more lower.

All so polishing and waxing to come. This time I don't do it, I leave job to pro's :D

Stay tuned vids and pics to come.

Track days are no gone and I can say they didn't go well. I got to drive five warming laps and then only one fast lap and clutch no longer increased to up. I have no idea so far what is now broken-down. It works well in normal driving but when put "all in" clutch won't work.

Maybe work or master cylinder? Any ideas how to test, how to continue?

Awsome cars, I liked more your old one :)

What your clutch does? Is it slipping or won't the gears engage?
Thank you!

No on clutch works ok in normall driving. It happened only once in track and I stop driving, cause I need car for daily driving.
It was a hard acceleration and after changin gear from 3:th to 4:th I noticed that the clutch pedal comes back up only half a way. I litf it back up in my toes and all works well after that but I did not try hard acceleration after that. Gears goes into place as normal.

Car looks great, not a fan of the gold on the wheels personally. Great results from the detail, mine needs doing desperately.
