of if the map has too little deviation allowed....
if the map is any good (to the OP) then it won't go into limp mode, I suggest you have a hardware failure rather than a problem with the software.... by introducing a boost leak, it WILL go into limp mode.
mork tell u the truth i hope i have its ok when boost hard then say put in 3rd and let turbo spool it get half way then turbo cuts out till couple off minure or seconds
dont fit a manual boost controller to a remapped car its pointless!! i agree with the others get vagcom on it i expect it will have codes.
also do logs of requested vs actual boost. that will give you an indication of a boost leak.
def sounds like a hardware problem. also if its ok and doesnt go into limp mode under full boost then its not the map
also what dv are you running? dv with 2 stiff a spring or not stiff enough can cause car to go into limp mode.
you will get an error code saying "pressure drop check dv" (cant remember the exact code) sometimes this code sends car into limp mode and sometimes it doesnt!
Here´s a quote from a mail I got from bill (badger5) lately as he´s helping me to set the right boost, ignition setting with my revo select+
"I think the stage 2 (k03s) will only at best ask for more boost, the 2500mb is'nt requested from software just delivered from hardware.. Hopefully you can up it to its max.. and if thats not enough resort to an mbc to ask for a few more mb boost"
So Im guessing it could be done without problems if its done right???
PhilW: I know you have a lot of experinece with k03s (and all the goodies) and revo stg 2 map. Have you ever tried N75-J on your car with this map??? as Ive read on here that it often goes into softlimp... Whats your opinion on this...(Havent tried the J valve yet as Im currently logging and changing settings with select+ switch at the moment, going to try the valve when I´ve reached the optimal settings, currently at B8 T8, hopefully going B9 T9)
