manual to electric rear windows

anyone know roughly what parts i need and what needs to be done to convert my rear windows from manual to electric

come on guys some one must know or am i going to be the first person to try it out

all the wiring seems to be there

The wiring isnt there, it would be a massive ammount of work as well.

You would need,

Rear window motors (circa 200 each iirc)
Rear window regulators
Possible front window motors if they cant be recoded for rear windows.
Wiring
Switches
Door trims

Just off the top of my head

i have all the doors that came off a leon with electrics all the way round

i compared the two manual and electric door wiring and it seem though the electric window has 2 extra wires
looking at the wiring that connects to the rear door,
has same number of wires as the electric window version

im feeling kinda lucky

If you have it then swap them over.

Coding is different in the drivers door control unit for two or four windows. I can't see the data bus wires being there after the b post but give it a go.

is there a fuse for the electric rear windows

Not normally, used to be thermal fuses but it's all control via can bus now

sorry if this sounds stupid but what is a can bus

is it a data cable?

Yes it's why you only have a couple of wires, it's how the control units communicate with each other. All the door units are networked together with the drivers unit being the master unit.

fink i should be ok as iv got the drivers door aswell

well its all trial and error now will update this thread after all the doors are fitted and tested
